Rick’s and Impostors and Scientologists oh my!
January 12th, 2007 by rickOkay, most importantly, I am not this guy:
Not that anyone who knows me would mistake that, but just wanted to clear that up, since he shows up on a Google search for Rick Petersen along with a host of other non-significant results… but there’s MORE!
Also, it was bound to happen at some point in time. My clever usage of my first name combined with a word from the English language to create the name RickSpace has evidently been noticed by another guy with an equally stunning grasp of blog-naming and I have now been labeled an impostor. It doesn’t honestly matter overly much to me… he has the domain and his site is quite nice. I’m sure his comment was really just a friendly joking jibe, and we SEEM to likely have different lifestyles/views; he commented upon my current tag-line for the blog and said that the tag-line should easily distinguish between the two of us. Just to help a bit, if there is information about a record label, anything even remotely artistic, or anything from/about London England, then it is not me
The one problematic similarity comes from his about page though….
In my spare time I end up geeking it up on the computer playing Counter Strike and Battlefield 2, in fact I’m obsessed I’ve been in a gaming clan for about 3 years (yes we are all ugly, fat and read comics).
I don’t play those games, but have frequently been involved in guilds/clans and have found most of them to be populated by fat ugly guys who read comics… well, I don’t read comics, but… close enough. Oddly enough, he’s also 27… such strange similarities.
Anyway, just found all this stuff coming up interesting.
