SUPERBUGS!!! ZOMG!
October 26th, 2007 by rickSo, I’m not gonna lie… I read some of what most of my friends would consider ridiculous blogs… most of my ridiculous blogs are either far-right leaning political blogs that I tend to agree with for the most part, or they’re far-left (when politics are discussed) leaning vegan/vegetarian blogs that I tend to agree with on all things diet.
So, imagine my surprise when an RSS feed came across with the following title:
Superbugs are the new Martians
Not gonna lie… Instantly, images are flashing through my mind of Starship Troopers style super bugs ripping people apart, etc.
So… not so much. It’s about antibiotic-resistant strains of bacteria that seem to be resulting from the overuse of antibiotics in beef (and other animal) farming. So, it’s all back to a vegan worldview, but MAN I was hoping for some huge friggin’ bugs.

That’s pretty funny! Of course, over the course of our lives, we’re going to learn that we should all be dying from sugar, and all of the sugar substitutes…veggies, wheat and all meats…dairy AND soy products…you name it…
But Superbugs! You’re right-sounds dangerous and sci-fi!

Yeah, I was totally edge-of-my-seat until I got to the page. But yeah, you’re right… every single thing in this world is bad for you. ESPECIALLY dihydrogen oxide.
It’s all ridiculous but funny at the same time… this blog that I linked to occasionally has interesting stuff, occasionally has stuff even I disagree with/find ridiculous… but most of the time it’s just passably-funny time-passers.

Superbug is a staph bacterium resistant to some, but not all antibiotics.
It mainly spreads by skin-to-skin contact and only rarely by air.
